KABUL (AFP) – An attack against a top hotel in Kabul has ended with the killing of six suicide bombers by security forces, an interior ministry spokesman said Wednesday.

"The operation has just ended, all of them (the attackers) have been killed," Siddiq Siddiqi told AFP after over five hours of violence. "We believe at this stage it was six suicide bombers."

He added that the number of casualties in the attack was still being calculated.
